Case Study

The Royal Oak

Project overview

The Royal Oak in South Cerney, Cirencester chose the Koodooweb Lite package. As busy publicans Bernd & Bernie needed a simple yet stylish website to be both informative for their regular customers and attractive to new clientele. In addition to example menus, we felt that a collection of quality images of the pub’s atmosphere and food would enhance the site and be the most effective way to market the Royal Oak. The website that we created displays the bespoke photography to its best advantage. It has all the functionality that their business needs and also conveys the genuinely high quality of the food they serve.

Logo/Brand Design

We were also asked to develop a new logo and brand style for The Royal Oak. We discussed the needs, likes and dislikes of Bernd & Bernie, then let our experienced team of designers draw inspiration from the location, history & lifestyle of the clients to come up with a strong colour palette, harmonious choice of fonts and most importantly a modern logo with traditional roots.

Commissioned Photography

To show the true appeal of The Royal Oak we were asked to spend a day with the team and take shots of them going about their work, with a keen focus on their truly delicious food and an aim to capture the relaxed welcoming atmosphere that has made the eatery a destination of accolade.

What The Royal Oak say:

The suggestions from Koodooweb were extremely thoughtful and way beyond what we expected when purchasing a small and affordable website. Their efforts in helping us showcase our business to it’s maximum potential were hugely appreciated.

Most importantly for us, dinner bookings have been up over 25% year on year and we know the website has been largely responsible for this.
